Colleen Marie (Donnelly) Cicchetti, 71, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Mine Hill, New Jersey.
Born on July 16, 1954, in Dover, Colleen was raised in her family home in Wharton. She later made Mine Hill her lifelong home after marrying her husband Steve Cicchetti. Colleen and Steve were married for 47 years and together they built a beautiful life rooted in family, friends, and community.
Colleen was a devoted and loving wife to Steve and a proud and adoring mother to Steven Jr. and Danielle. Nothing brought her more joy than being a mother and nana. She had two cherished grandchildren, Jackson and Emerson. She was tremendously proud of the family she and Steve created, and her love for them was unwavering.
She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Kathleen; her mother, Rita; and her father, William Donnelly. She also leaves behind her nephew Richard, daughter-in-law Linda and many other cousins, family and friends whom she held dear.
Colleen dedicated more than 30 years of service to the municipal government. She began her career as a police secretary in Mine Hill, worked diligently to earn her Court Administrator certification, and proudly served as the Court Administrator in Mine Hill for many years. She concluded her respected career in the court system in Dover, retiring during COVID. Her strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to public service earned her the admiration of colleagues and residents alike.
Beyond her career, Colleen gave generously to her community. She volunteered as an EMT in Mine Hill for over five years and organized bus trips for seniors and local residents, always finding ways to bring people together and brighten someone’s day.
Colleen found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved crafting, taking trips to the casino, and shopping for a good bargain for herself or loved ones. She had a green thumb and got her love of plants from her father. Her home and yard were always filled with warmth and color from all of her favorite flowers and plants. She was a strong, independent woman who was fiercely loyal and would do anything for those she loved. She was a dedicated wife, a wonderful mother, a proud grandmother, and a true friend.
To say she will be missed is an understatement. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love leave an irreplaceable space in the hearts of all who knew her. The footprints she has left on all of our hearts will live on forever.
A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, February 25th from 3pm to 6:30pm at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ.
A funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at the funeral home.
